Argh!

The bathroom makeover to accommodate the new washer and dryer has been quite the little experience....to say the least! OK, so the washer and dryer were installed yesterday and as I reported earlier, I was soooooooooo excited. I still am. I was able to wash 13 towels at one time, vs. one towel and a washcloth in the old one. It was pure bliss.

Then today, I was painting away. You know, whistling while I worked, all happy and everything when I happened to look up and see that the vent pipe from the dryer was only partially attached to the pipe in the ceiling.

Sweet Hubby climbed up on the ladder (this was no easy trick), looked inside the pipe and said, "There's nothing up there." Well, those of you who know us, know that Hubby has Parkinson's Disease. This makes moving about pretty difficult. You know where I'm going with this, don't you? Yeppers! I had to go up, into the attic and find out what was going on. So, there I was, crawling around (not easy for a fat girl) in insulation and dryer lint with duct tape, scissors, and a flashlight. Sure enough, the dryer vent in the attic was in fact, not attached. After a bit of struggling, and having a sad face, I finally got everything attached. I'm ready to rock and roll with laundry again. Why does that make me happy? Oh well, it beats painting for a while :)
