Ok, so I've been away from the computer waaaaay too long! The kitchen "re-do" has about done me in. Let's face it folks, there is just no easy way to make over a kitchen. We still need to paint, install blinds, and move everything back in. If I were 20 years younger, many, many pounds lighter, and not such a procrastinator, I could jump right in there and get it all done.

Sort of After

Will take more pics when the blinds are up and the painting is done.
Now, in addition to the infamous "re-do" we decided to purchase a larger washer and dryer as there was a sale at "Home Depot" we just couldn't pass up. Sounds good so far, right? Well...when we got home and measured, we discovered the existing cabinets left us with not enough room to install the new units. We knew we had two weeks, so hubby decided the best, money saving method was to trim the cabinets down. Do you have a sad face for me yet? Well, there's more! This home was built in the early 70's. They just don't make cabinets like that anymore. I'm telling you there were more nails and supports, and...stuff than we could even imagine.

OK, two weeks is up this coming Monday and the new washer and dryer will be here. I looked at my dear, sweet hubby and said, "Let's go buy a new cabinet. When we get back, let's get the sledge hammer and reciprocating saw, and let's rip those old puppies out o' there! Well....we just finished that little project and I thought it best to sit and give you an update. So, there you have it!
Isn't this some fine wallpaper I get to remove? Umm, mmmm, mmmmm!
